# Review evidence

Alpha can surface two sources that disagree about the same decision, date, owner, status, or metric. Those items appear in **Review** for a human decision.

## Read the queue

Each card summarizes the subject, the competing values, the affected vault, and when Alpha detected the disagreement. Use filters to focus on open, resolved, or assigned review work.

A contradiction is not an error by itself. It may represent a changed decision, a newer plan, different reporting periods, or a real disagreement that still needs resolution.

## Resolve a contradiction

Open the item to compare both claims and their original evidence.

#### Read both claims

Compare the exact values, source dates, speakers or authors, and surrounding context.

#### Open the original evidence

Confirm whether one source is newer, more direct, or clearly about a different period.

#### Choose a resolution

Keep one claim, enter a corrected value, or leave the disagreement intentionally unresolved.

#### Explain the decision

Add a short note so the next reader understands why the resolution is reliable.

Resolved items remain traceable. A resolution changes which value Alpha should treat as current, but it does not erase the source that disagreed.

## Discuss before deciding

Use the discussion area when another vault member has better context. Keep the conversation on the review item so the claims, sources, and final decision remain together.

## Good review standards

* Prefer direct evidence over a later summary of the same conversation.
* Prefer a clearly changed decision over an older plan.
* Check units and time ranges before treating two metrics as contradictory.
* Do not resolve a client commitment from internal speculation alone.
* Keep an item open when the evidence genuinely does not settle it.

Review open contradictions before creating a launch plan, executive brief, or customer-facing artifact from a disputed date or commitment.

## Access

Review items stay inside their source vault. Vault managers can resolve them. Members can inspect evidence and participate where their role allows it. A person without access to the vault cannot see the contradiction or its source material.
