Set up your workspace

Connect only the sources you need, route them deliberately, and verify the first sync.

The onboarding flow is the safest place to connect accounts, join existing vaults, define routing, and start ingestion.

Before you begin

You need an Alpha account and access to your organization. If someone invited you to an existing vault, use that vault. Do not create another vault with the same client or project name.

1

Review your profile and organization

Confirm your name, profile image, and organization. Organization admins can also set the organization logo.

2

Connect accounts

Connect the services that contain relevant work. Google Workspace can provide Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and Gemini meeting notes. Microsoft 365 can provide Outlook, Calendar, OneDrive, and Teams. Slack is installed once per workspace.

3

Create or join vaults

Existing vaults appear during onboarding. If Alpha finds a similar vault that you cannot access, request access instead of duplicating it.

4

Add routing rules

Add keywords and client domains for your own connected accounts. Vault admins can review member-specific additions and promote useful rules to the whole vault.

5

Choose exact files and conversations

Approve Drive folders or files, Teams conversations, and Slack channels or DMs. Nothing in these pickers is imported until you assign it to a vault.

6

Verify and start ingestion

The setup summary must show at least one connected source and one saved destination. Start ingestion, then open Alpha to watch the source status.

What happens after launch

Alpha queues each selected source and reports whether it is waiting, importing, processing, complete, or partially failed. First results can appear while later documents are still being parsed and connected.

If the final screen shows zero connected account services, go back and connect a source. Alpha will not present an empty launch as a successful sync.

Reopen onboarding

You can return to onboarding to add a source, adjust personal routing rules, or choose another folder or conversation.
